Unfair Auto renewal SSL options

Recently Purchased SSL for 2 years almost 1 month in advance of expiry of old certificate! On the call Business executive clear says no need of developer intervention to apply it and it will be automatically taken care and same used to be prompt used to appear on platform.

But today on the expiry day!  BOOOM the SSL expires and all customer care each one keeps bull[removed]ting and when they cant handle my queries they go mute!!!!!

Why should I do purchase is advance when it cant be auto renewed and why do they fool us in buying it saying no developer intervention needed?

I am an end user like you - I can't speak to what GoDaddy specifically told you.

They may have made an assumption that your site was hosted on a GoDaddy server.

A couple of things

1) Yes you will need to install the updated certificate

2) Keep in mind SSLs are only for 1 year now - if you paid for 2 it will auto generate the new certificate next year (or at least it should) but you would then have to install that one as well.
