Yikes! We couldn't process error - solution

Hi,
I was getting an error in add payment method when I was trying to add a new card number in my account; the error I was getting was: "Yikes! We couldn't process your request. Please try again or contact customer support if this issue continues"..
After trying for couple on hours I contacted Godaddy staff. Who solved this problem.
Godaddy staff member told me to renew a expiring domain name with my new card number. I renew my domain name and the new card number was added to the account. I am writing just incase if anyone is having such error and finding no solution 🙂
