How do I set up a leave a comment portal to my website?
Right now I am using the basic site (reviewing, testing godaddy)
I expect to upgrade later as of now I am still trying to find my way around
Heya @Pdub. When you say "basic site" I assume you mean Website Builder?
I have been working with the basic site. I think I have that sort of set up now What I am more interested in now, is how to set up means of asking for comments to be made about my site. I would like to have some feed back. I am still trying to learn as much as I can before I start to think about upgrading.
Thanks for any help and suggestions.
Welcome to the GoDaddy Community! Glad to have you
If you are using Website Builder, you'd need to use a 3rd party comment tool. Website Builder doesn't have this feature at this time. One example would be Disqus. You could set up Disqus comment area and use their Universal Code option to place the code on your site. There are other providers out there as well, you'd just need to look around.
As for adding the code to your site, you'd need to use the HTML Code block and the Site-wide Code area of your builder's Site Settings. More information on those can be found in the links below.
Does anyone else in the Community have a favorite discussion tool they can share here?
Thanks for the reply
I downloaded the Disqus plug in. Now all have to do is learn how to use it.
Another thing you can do in Website Builder v7 to allow people a place to leave comments is to click on the Form app directly in the Edit Site mode.
1. Go to your Website Builder v7 product.
2. Click Edit Site.
3. On the left-hand side click the Form tab.
4. A window will appear on whatever page you're in with a form that your visitors can fill out (they can enter their Name, Email, a Subject, and a Message).
Please see the attached screen shot for reference as well.
Hope that helps!
