60 day lock after updating Whois information

Hi, I recently bought some domains and I had the whois info displaying a gmail.com contact address and I wanted to look more professional so I changed them to a domain.com address and it made me accept a 60 day domain transfer lock. But I also have one of my domains at the GoDaddy auction, so does that mean if somebody wins the auction they have to wait 60 days to get it from me?

@Roses The 60 day transfer lock is applied when the registrant updates certain parts of the domain's contact information. This applies to external transfers (registrar to registrar) and not to internal account changes. If someone wins the auction you will more than likely "push" the domain name to their Godaddy account.

60 day lock after updating Whois information

So after months and months of trying to get my domain from HostGator back, I finally found the answer!

Go to https://www.whois.net and look up the status of your domain. Mine said "clientTransferProhibited", if it says that you have to tell HostGator (or whatever registrar you are currently with) to remove the status code!

This is some real shady stuff!!

Go to https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/epp-status-codes-2014-06-16-en and check what your EPP status means.

If they don't remove the hold on your domain, you need to file a complaint with https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/locked-2013-05-03-en.

Transfer complaint form: https://forms.icann.org/en/resources/compliance/complaints/transfer/form

If they have an external registrar then they would have to wait 60 days?
