Can't Find Person That Registered Our Business Domain

We paid for a website and domain name for our business back in 2010 (arizonalegalease.com) but have lost contact with the person who registered the domain for us and built the website. We don't know what name was used to register the domain or have the account information either. The whois record says the domain is registered with wildwestdomains.com and it has privacy on it.

Any idea where we would start the process of gaining control of the domain name?

@adwordsinsider you can email the privacy email address directly and it will be forwarded to them. ARIZONALEGALEASE.COM@domainsbyproxy.com

Also, how have you been paying for the renewal of the domain name? It's registration and hosting have been renewed for the last 8 years so this may be something you'll need to settle with the registrant.

Re: Can't Find Person That Registered Our Business Domain

Hi @adwordsinsider,

If you're not sure where to find the person in possession of the domain, you may want to go to www.changeupdate.com and fill out a request there. You will need to provide personal and business ID as detailed on that form. We can then review the ownership of the domain and, as per ICANN rules, provide it to the valid owner (if that is you). This could recover the domain and put it back in your control, however, it will not recover any existing website.
