Received email to transfer domain - but I didn't request to

I just received an email from donotreply@domainsbyproxy.com with an authorization code to complete the transfer of my domain name. I did not request one nor am I trying to transfer. It's got a link to GoDaddy with my account number. The domain is .com and I'm worried that something has been comprised. Email came through on Nov 7, 2018 around 5am EST. Anybody know what this is about??

Re: Received email to transfer domain - but I didn't request to

Hello!
Well hopefully someone has accidentally purchased a domain name transfer for the wrong domain and is not intentionally trying to take your domain. Nonetheless, I would log in to your godaddy account and verify that the domain lock is active or call the support line to be verified. As long as the domain lock is on, the domain will not be transferred.
support line is:

Re: Received email to transfer domain - but I didn't request to

Thank you. Domain lock has been on and I've turned on two-step authorization. I wasn't aware that this request could be made without logging into the Godaddy account, so that's somewhat relieving. Hopefully, it was a mistake.
