Transfer domain AWAY from GoDaddy, Even though unlocked all say 'disabled'

 All of my domains say they are unlocked, but all say 'disabled' where it shows transfer away from GoDaddy. So what do I do?
I want to transfer as I hate having to telephone for support etc and I now have most of my domains with another company. Want them all in one place.

@wiringbrains

Just wondering how recently did you renew / are these domains up for renewal??

Without knowing the domains / doing a whois lookup that is the first thing that comes to mind is perhaps they are in a 60 day ICANN hold

No they were not renewed recently and are not up for renewal - 2 year domains that expire next year.

I had to contact chat, who still couldnt tell me why they are showing as disabled. He has sent an authorisation code via email and said to use the same for the others. So fingers crossed !

Re: Transfer domain AWAY from GoDaddy, Even though unlocked all say 'disabled'

Hi @wiringbrains,

Were you able to transfer your domains as desired? Here are some things that may prevent you from moving any domain out.

  • If the domain was transferred into GoDaddy within the last 60 days, there will be an ICANN lock as mentioned.
  • If the Registrant information was changed in the last 60 days... same ICANN lock.
  • If the domain is a CCTLD (Country Code Domain) you may need to call support to create an escalation to get the Authorization code sent to you.
  • If the domain is in the UK family (.CO.UK, .ORG.UK, etc) you need to call support to have our CCTLD team update the IPS tag for you to that of the new registrar.

Hope this helps in your situation.
