    How do I add a photo where there's not one in the template?

    I'm in the process of moving my website from Website Builder to Go Central.

    One of our pages is an about us page - picture, name, short bio, email address. (See http://www.claritytransitions.net/about-us.html for what I want to do.)  I can get all the content into a section (using a "content" section), but I don't see how to add the head shots.  The only directions I can find are on replacing existing photos or adding a cover photo.

    In Go Central, am I limited to the template?  Or can I place things where ever I want them as in Website Builder?

    Thanks for any insight.

    @Julia-CT

    If you don't want to use any of the predesignated widgets you can try the HTML widget which allows to to use HTML to do whatever you like.

    For what you describe you could use table code to have the photo in the left cell and the description in the right.   It would look something like this:

    <table width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center" border="0">
    <tr><td>Photo here via <img src="url to image here" width="XX" height="XX"></td><td>Bio here</td></tr>
    <tr><td>Photo here</td><td>Bio here</td></tr>
    <tr><td>Photo here</td><td>Bio here</td></tr>
    <tr><td>Photo here</td><td>Bio here</td></tr>
    <tr><td>Photo here</td><td>Bio here</td></tr>
    <tr><td>Photo here</td><td>Bio here</td></tr>
    </table>

    If I am misunderstanding or if you still have questions, let me know!

    I have the same question.  I have photos on my desktop that I want to add to the photo gallery.  In plain language, how do I do it?  I can't see anything on the page that says download photos.  Where do I look for it?  Calling customer service is not helpful.  Thanks.

    With regard to your reply to @Julia-CT, after copying the code, where do I paste it to?

    Thank you!

    Re: How do I add a photo where there's not one in the template?

    I am having the same issue. I'm writing in my blog and the template allows for one photo at the top but I want to add additional photos within the text. I do not want to write in HTML. Is there no way to insert photos in random spots within the content?

    Re: How do I add a photo where there's not one in the template?

    I have the exact same question but didn't see anyone reply to your question. If you received an answer, please let me know how to add multiple pictures in a template. Thanks!

    Anyone have a realistic answer for this:  Adding a photo like we were able to do in Website Builder?  If the new version lacks this, someone needs to add it in.  Very imprt.

    Re: How do I add a photo where there's not one in the template?

    In GoCentral, you choose from existing layouts for each section. There are some photo layouts for "About" as well as "Content" or "Photo Gallery" that might work. We don't support custom additions of an image, but we are looking at ways to offer more flexibility in the current layouts we have. We are also adding more layouts. As a workaround, sometimes you can get the look you want by adding a section multiple times to the page. Thanks, Christine

    @RANCHWOMAN  You can upload your own images to use in the gallery. Click on the "+" tile in the gallery to launch the Image Library - there you can add stock or upload your own images. We also bring over images you may have had on v7 so that you don't have to reupload them. Thanks,

    I answered this below, but wanted to call out that if you had images on v7, we bring them over to GoCentral automatically. You just add them to your site - you do need to select a layout for that section.  Thanks, Christine

    Not being able to simply add photos to your site is handicapping and unwanted. For this (and other reasons) I have left godaddy. At least Wordpress allows you to add photos and to incorporate google adsense without complication.

    adding photos on Go Central is the WORST I have ever seen on the Internet. How do I add my own photos before I just contact the Attorney Generals Office?

    I finally got it figured out. It is easier than Thought! I am much happier with GoDaddy Go Central now. On Mac it seems like if you put your photos you want in a separate folder from Photos....then it goes pretty smooth.mthey are able to handle high res photos quite well!
