I have the smallest website and I have optimized all my images etc but my site takes sometimes over a minute to load. this is ridiculous! I need it to load in seconds.
Also I have sent a link to several people around the world and the site does not load at all.
I have gone through all the other avenues recommended and to be honest I do not understand anything I read in the help topics. I chose Wordpress because I was under the impression it was a simple platform to use without having a degree in code. Well seems I was wrong. I've had nothing but trouble building my site and it still doesn't work as it should on mobile devices.

Please help, thanks.

@stagg100 One of the biggest problems is that the slider on your home page is loading two copies of each image. For example, the following resources have identical contents, but are served from different URLs. Serve these resources from a consistent URL to save 1 request(s) and 606.3KiB.
Because the slider uses large image files, you are effectively doubling the file size of the page which has a huge impact on speed.
The letters appended to the end of the image indicate a cached version of the image, so investigating what's going on with your slider would the place to start.

Thanks for your responses and help.
I have another issue if anyone would care to help as the online chat is always off.
I am not receiving any emails from the site to office365. I have tried using different contact forms and gone through all the settings on each. what am I missing?
I can communicate between the Office365 (Outlook) and Gmail.
@stagg100 - I've used smtp plugins in the past when I've had trouble sending mail from WordPress. Elegant Themes has a good article here: https://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/tips-tricks/use-smtp-to-send-email-from-wordpress
Hope this helps.
Hi - we are also having trouble with a slow website loading.
We are also using a couple of different sliders.
Are you able to tell if we are being weighed down by image / file size or other aspects of the sliders in particular?
www.yarrarangesathletics.org.au/dotnetnuke (another issue we are chasing means its only loading with the DNN extension to the address currently)
I am trying (as I'm sure many people are) to speed up my website. One suggestion I came across was to minify my site (to combine CSS and JS scripts). I have found a plugin to do this (WP Super minify) but:
1. There are still some CSS and JS scripts that it has not combined. Why?
2. Can I do it a better way than using a plugin?
3. Will minifying affect my SEO?
Thanks in advance
