This week we were joined by Jimmy Rose from Content Snare to talk about making your content collection process more efficient.
Here's what he covered:
"I don't know how to say this without swearing ..."
Agency owners say content collection is their biggest pain point. Back and forth emails and using documents gets really messy. Waiting on clients causes projects to get backed up.
Fortunately, you can fix the content collection bottleneck with the right process. Part of that is setting expectations with the client to make sure they know they'll have to provide content ... then reminding them consistently to do it. To make it even easier, you can make checklists and templates to reuse on every project.
When it comes to tools, Jimmy had some great advice. Be careful using forms and documents because clients struggle to complete long forms and documents leave too much room for clients to add things that don't belong (like image uploads). That's where Content Snare comes in. It's built to solve all the problems with content collection, with an easy step-by-step interface for clients and a bunch of tools you can use to automate the process. Regardless of what you decide to use, make sure to provide instructions for your clients so they know exactly what you're looking for.
Jimmy is the co-founder of Content Snare - a software platform that helps professionals collect content & files from clients. Once an automation engineer, his new priority is to help business owners regain their lives, be more productive and get more done in less time.
