My name is Fahad and i'm using godaddy service of hosting for the domain www.ezdaam.com. I'm getting few issues with port blocking. I generated an smtp service/gateway for my website which is pasted below
$mail->isSMTP(); // Set mailer to use SMTP
$mail->Host = 'smtp.domain.com'; // Specify main and backup SMTP servers
$mail->SMTPAuth = true; // Enable SMTP authentication
$mail->Username = 'firstname.lastname@example.org'; // SMTP username
$mail->Password = 'xxx'; // SMTP password
$mail->SMTPSecure = 'ssl'; // Enable TLS encryption, `ssl` also accepted
$mail->Port = 465;
I' getting SMTP Connect issue on server, open port 465 to be connectivity on server.
OUTPUT: SMTP ERROR: Failed to connect to server: Connection refused (111)
Please let me know how we can fix this issue.
Hello @Fakhar, it's not possible to send mail through our shared hosting servers using your own SMTP settings. You can only send from our relay server when using a shared hosting plan. If you wanted to be able to send through your own SMTP servers, you'd need to be hosting with either a VPS or Dedicated Server plan.
Is it possible with new Business Hosting Plans provided by you as below ?
hi, i'thinking about buying a VPS plan, is still posible using a custom SMTP with the VPS 2GB plan?
