It appears that Webfaction is a hosting solution of its own. From what I can see, it does not look like a solution that transfers over to general shared hosting very well. However, I could be wrong on that one! What particular features impress you the most? If you are looking for a very unrestricted development platform you might also check out Antsle. Very interesting solutions!
