when creating your own coupons for your customers to use, is there a way you can set it so only customers can use it once?

sorry to sound silly, but if I click Limit number of total uses if I put one does it mean only one person can you the coupon or everyone can but once?

Limit number of total uses is counted for all customers, so if you wanted to have a limited promotion like the first 10 customers to use the code get a discount.
