From some day my site's response time has increased significantly, approximately 9 seconds.

Sounds like your site is experiencing load issues potentially due to increased traffic. Before considering an upgrade of your hosting environment, I'd recommend having your site content reviewed through site optimization services to see if there's any content related fixes you can apply to help improve your performance.

There are several free optimization services that offer a scan and recommendation for fixes to your site available in your preferred search engine results. Some of the more popular ones I know some folks use include services like: Google PageSpeed Insights, GTMetrix, or even Pingdom Tools.
