    3rd party SSL on Godaddy. Does it not work?? - Sitemaps should be pointing to https.

    Hi,
    I have a Basic Managed Wordpress Plan on Godaddy. Enabled SSL through Cloudflare a few days back. Everything was working, as expected, until I checked Sitemaps.

    As per my knowledge, Sitemaps should be pointing to https, instead of http. But even after SSL, it's pointing to http. Am I missing something?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

    The GoDaddy Managed WordPress system does not support 3rd party SSL Certificates. Additionally if you don't have an SSL certificate installed on the Managed WordPress platform HTTPS / port 443 is disabled for security purposes.

    Thanks for the confirmation.

    How can I get free SSL certificate installed on godaddy?

    @Niks

    You need to be on the deluxe plan which includes an SSL from GoDaddy

    Okay.

    Would let's encrypt work?

    @Niks

    No - as I said you CANNOT use any 3rd party SSL certificate - Your only options are to either purchase an SSL certificate if you are on a lower version of Managed WordPress or upgrade to Deluxe which includes it
