    Dear, really getting bored as its been more then 48 hours that I have requested for converting Stage Website to Production but no progress seem. I am stuck up and time is passing by since each delay is reducing my time of Delux web of godaddy. Please let me know as to what is the problem.

    1) I have moved your post to it's own topic as it was not related to the one you replied to

    2) I assume you mean you have managed WordPress and you were "syncing" / pushing staging to production - this should happen in a matter of minutes - I suggest calling into Support and they can help to reset the process

    Faiz -  Thanks for reaching out to me directly - I'm going to reply here for the benefit of others having a similar issue.

    I'd like to confirm some things

    1) Your "Live" site is sub9teen.com

    2) Your staging site is ???.???.myftpupload.com

    3) You have gone into the hosting control (https://myh.godaddy.com) -> Your Site -> Settings -> Staging and selected the option to sync and "Push Staging to Production"

    ==================

    Assuming that is correct so far - The process to sync the sites should only take a few minutes. I'm not quite sure what you were told about 24 - 48 hours.

    Can you give an example of where you are not seeing something synced correctly

    Re: Converting Staging website to production

    Dear its been a very long time that I was prompted to get a wordpress site as I will have much better website. So, through Godaddy wordpress hosting I purchased deluxe mode of word press since last few weeks. The irony is that since then I am unable as how should I go live. The wordpress hosting of godaddy has given me a temporary domain which works in staging mode only. I am really pissed off to be connected with Godaddy as I had not received any proper help to get me going on the right track. A number of times I chatted but unfortunately non could satisfy me.

    My wordpress Staging website is http://txs.701.myftpupload.com/ and my other godaddy websites are https://account.godaddy.com/products?go_redirect=disabled and https://sub9teen.com. I want for help as to how can I make my staging site of wordpress  http://txs.701.myftpupload.com/ to go live and get rid of all other sites made in godaddy web prior shifting to wordpress hosting.

    @faizsub2000

    I'm sorry that you having difficulty getting everything connected correctly.... Let me see if I can help and get you pointed in the right direction and make sure we are using the correct terms as well...

    Please also note as an end user myself I don't have a view / access to your GoDaddy account

    1) I just went to sub9teen.com and it is loading the Managed WordPress site - I am assuming this is the "primary" site - the temp URL for this site is 2pd.812.myftpupload.com

    2) I am assuming that you went to https://myh.godaddy.com -> Your site (sub9teen.com) -> Settings

    and created a staging site - This site got assigned the URL of http://txs.701.myftpupload.com/

    Right now both the "live" site and the staging site look the same, so I am assuming you completed the "Push Staging to Production"

    I guess I'm confused about what else you are trying to do. If you have a cPanel hosting and are no longer using it for the website / mail then you could cancel that server.

    Perhaps I'm missing something else you are trying to accomplish - please feel free to post images (and block personal information) if you are looking for something else.

    @faizsub2000

    Your photos didn't post - if you tried to post them via email reply I think you need to post them via the community website.

    When I go to the live site http://www.sub9teen.com/ and the staging site - http://txs.701.myftpupload.com/ they look the same.

    I would suggest you DELETE / REMOVE the staging site. I may be wrong but it seems like the confusion is coming in is that you are making your edits on the staging site and then have to sync every time to get them on the live site.

    This is not how the staging site is intended to be used. - Here is an example of the intended way to use the staging site - Let's say you've had your site live for a year and you want to do a redesign of it - You can create the staging site and make all your design changes and updates and then overwrite the live site.

    If you are building out a new site from the start, there is no need to use the staging site.

    Also this page is showing just fine - http://www.sub9teen.com/about-us/

    Ok - 2 different things here

    1) Remember the staging site is a COMPLETE 2nd site - so just because you can get to that - you can't factor that in

    2) The security warning is because you are trying to access via https:// and you don't have an SSL on the website

    3) The error page you are getting is that it looks like sub9teen.com is setup on your local computer vs out on the internet since the error page is coming from localhost

    Re: Converting Staging website to production/?isc=gdcommment/?isc=gdcommment

    Okay,

    1. In the absence of SSL on my website, how should I proceed. Or if it is mandatory to have SSL, how should I have SSL on my website.

    2. I want to be able to open live my website HTTPS://www.sub9teen.com and also to be able to make changes / editing. Need specific guidance as I have waisted a handsome amount of time to start moving.

    @faizsub2000

    https://www.godaddy.com/hosting/wordpress-hosting

    So a couple of things.......

    1) It is not required to have HTTPS (SSL Certificate) on a site, however for SEO purposes it is highly recommended that you do.

    2) The Ultimate WordPress Hosting from GoDaddy includes an SSL certificate (I believe this is about a $70 value) you would have to upgrade your account if you only have the Deluxe

    **** I "think" you can just do an upgrade and not have to do a whole new purchase - you would just pay the difference - the other option is to purchase the certificate and renew it each year

    3) As long as you can open the site with http://www.sub9teen.com you can work on it - once you get the SSL certificate installed then you will have HTTPS

    Dear, as you suggested for removal of staging site, I have a fear that after removal, I may not be able to open the main website. Moreover, I do all editing through staging site and then do syc, which is tedious job. I m not sure as to how people convert their godaddy website into wordPress site.

    if I have to remove, I will remove the staging site from right side as given in following image.

    Re: Converting Staging website to production/?isc=gdcommment

    @faizsub2000

    Let me again try to explain......

    The production site and the staging site are 2 completely separate websites.

    The purpose of the staging site is NOT to make one off edits and then publish them..... this is not a "preview system"

    Please follow this EXAMPLE timeline and hopefully this will help you...

    November 2019 - Launch website sub9teen.com

    February 2020 - Want to apply a new theme - redo content on site

    Step 1) Create staging site - this will make a copy of the production site

    Step 2) Install new theme on staging site

    Step 3) Make any / all edits to content on staging site

    Step 4) Backup any form results / commerce orders etc from Production site

    Step 5) Push Staging to Production - This completely overwrites your production site

    Step 6) Remove Staging site

    Resume any ongoing edits on Production Site

    In the previous post your computer showed a timeout / localhost error when going to http://www.sub9teen.com - I see you are on windows if you open a command window and do

    ping www.sub9teen.com

    It should show the IP address that you see see if you click the "show more" - which should be 160.153.137.40

    If you are seeing anything other than that - you need to look at the settings on your local computer / network to see what it is doing instead

    @faizsub2000

    The GoDaddy Websites + Marketing are on two different IP Addresses and again you are looking at the admin not the front end of the site -

    This is why I'm trying to see what your says the IP address is.

    In your previous - you posted a screenshot of a page that says "ERROR - The requested URL could not be retrieved"

    "Contact admin@localhost"

    This page is being generated by a web server installed on your own computer / network - hence the reason you are not able to get to the wordpress site right now.

    It looks like you have something called Squid (a caching program) installed on your computer and this is blocking it - I did find https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPQZGb0z0ME that talks about the configuration - but perhaps you can just disable it and then you should be able to access the site

    Re: Converting Staging website to production/?isc=gdcommment

    I checked through ping for IP and it is the same as you mentioned. That means that its not an issue of window or my computer. It needs to be resolved by some experts of godaddy community. Following is the image:

    Ping.pngI also checked on others laptop to find whether the vary url www.sub9teen.com gets open or not. The answer is no and display similar error.

    Re: Converting Staging website to production/?isc=gdcommment

    @faizsub2000

    1) The fact that it couldn't connect to the server with the ping (although the IP is shown) and others can get to it says it's a local issue - as I mentioned in my last post you have a caching program on your computer which seems to be blocking it

    2) You can always remove the production site and start over, you may have the same IP or a different IP.

    I don't believe your issue is related to the site itself, but rather with the domain and your local setup.

    I'm guessing if you use the myftpupload.com (temp URL) it will work fine

    Re: Converting Staging website to production/?isc=gdcommment

    Dear, I am indeed highly obliged for help outrightly. Infact, I never wanted to engage you with the issues / problems faced by me rather I was seeking some expert from the team of Godaddy take me along with a solution.

    With regard to your suggestions in this and earlier posts, I sorted out Caching (Squid) and rest assure the same is not applied on my computer.

    Another thing which I did was to start from the scratch, yet again when shifting from Temporary wordPress domain (pza.fa4.myftpupload.com) to another domain (aakfmksub19.com) as primary, receive following error:Error 3.pngPrimary domain.png

    I can access to dashboard of Temporary WP site but not the one when I change.

    IT IS ALSO NOTED THAT I CAN OPEN AND PUBLISH AND EDIT MY WEBSITES OF GODADDY (SUB9TEEN.COM), HAD THERE BEEN SOME ISSUE OF MY COMPUTER PROBABLY MY GODADDY WEBSITE WOULD ALSO HAVE FACED SIMILAR PROBLEM.

    I THINK, EITHER SOMEONE HELP ME OUT DEDICATELY TO ESTABLISH A CUSTOMIZED WORDPRESS WEBSITE OR THINKING TO SHIFT TO BLUEHOST WP HOSTING BECAUSE SOLVING THIS ONE ISSUE HAS ALMOST TAKEN AWAY ALL MY ENERGIES AND YET STANDING AT POINT ZERO PROGRESS.

    Regards

    1) I see you pointed sub9teen.com to the Websites + Marketing - are you able to get to the site now or do you get the error from the cache system

    2) re: aakfmsksub19.com - I believe you have an error with the domain spelling or it's not configured in the DNS - as I can't get to it either and can't find any DNS records for it.

    If you switch it back to the temp domain  you can continue working on it

    Pt 1.  sub9teen.com is very much accessible and editable as well. No issue. This is actually a website of Godaddy web builder. Following are images as of now:

    sub9teen google.pngsub9tn working.pngsub9tn.png

    Pt 2.  I have some issues of either configuration with DNS or any other, but when I shift to Temporary site, WP Website works absolutely fine in all its mode. I already forwarded some images in my previous post.

    Now, when I am changing domain, the domain of my choice aakfmksub19.com doesn't gets live which needs redressal. I am interested in WP website and therefore purchased Delux plan through godaddy hosting. If its an issue of configuration, can you please guide me for get it configured.

    @faizsub2000

    Great the sub9teen.com is working on Websites + Marketing - Let's see if we can figure out the wordpress site now.

    aakfmsksub19.com is not registered so that is why you can't use that domain... so you can add a domain you have.... or for now...

    1) go to https://dcc.godaddy.com/manage/sub9teen.com/dns and add an A record for www2 with the host of 198.71.233.138 and the TTL of Custom / 600

    2) Go back to the myh.godaddy.com and in the domain settings for your WordPress site add www2.sub9teen.com and see if the site will load then (it should)
