Changing of nameservers

I have hosting plans with other providers too but dont know why GoDaddy makes it difficult to change nameservers while other hosting providers does not even require us to provide IP.

Re: Changing of nameservers

Hello @Camph and thank you for reaching out to the GoDaddy community.

Your other hosting provider should have provided the needed information to change your nameservers for your domain. Check out this GoDaddy article for more information on how to change it on the GoDaddy side.

Re: Changing of nameservers

The only reason you should have to enter IP addresses for your name servers is if you are trying to have NS1.YOURDOMAIN.COM and NS2.YOURDOMAIN.COM

In this case it is not GoDaddy requiring this but the internet in general as those need to be registered with the "root" name servers so that other web services know where to find your DNS - other wise it should just be a matter of putting in the domains for the name servers from your other providers
