Co.za domain assign to bluehost from godaddy

Hi everyone,

I have purchased a co.za domain from godaddy. I'm using bluehost wordpress to develop my website.

When changing the DNS on godaddy to point to bluehost. it is requesting  2 sets of nameservers and IP addresses.

im not sure what im supposed to put as the IP address.  is it my specific website IP ? The name serves are ns1.bluehost.com, ns2.bluehost.com

sorry if the answers are obvious, this is my first website 🙂

thank you!

You just need to change the Name servers NOT use the HOSTS section - the Hosts is for if you wanted to do ns1.YOURDOMAIN.com and ns2.YOURDOMAIN.com that you need the IP addresses

If you tried send the photo via email you need to do it via the website itself - please try uploading the screen shot again

Interesting - perhaps this is something specific to the .co.za domains. Here are the IP addresses for those 2 domains

ns1.bluehost.com. 3599 IN A 162.159.24.80

ns2.bluehost.com. 3599 IN A 162.159.25.175

Personally I would recommend leaving the DNS at GoDaddy and just updating the zone file to point to the server IP address at bluehost. This way if you ever decide to leave bluehost you don't have to update your name servers again you just adjust the IP records
