I have the exact same situation as listed here https://www.godaddy.com/community/Managing-Domains/I-can-t-edit-my-A-record-to-point-to-new-IP-addre....
I don't have and forward setup (previously did), but the A record of "Forwarded" cannot be edited or removed. According to the customer support of that post, it is a "glitch". ( Which I highly doubt though, it's apparently a bug.)

You can double check that forwarding has been removed, but if it is a bug/glitch contact support directly to help you resolve.
