I purchased a domain from godaddy and I have a website on heroku with an https address. I use this as a CNAME for the www options in godaddy. I also have a forward setup to point to my CNAME without the www.
The issue it that godaddy uses http, so the url in the browser address bar says http. This is an issue because my site collects money, and though it really is secure, users can't see that it is due to the 'http' from godaddy.
Is there anything I can do? Besides not use the domain name that I bought from godaddy?
I've been wondering about this also. I found this link to share with you.

I have the very same question, as you do, I have a domain here and a heroku app hosted and I can't point the domain to the app
Add the following to your config/environments/production.rb file
