What email address is used for service renewal notices?

I set up preferences on the https://account.godaddy.com/preferences page. However, I can't figure out what email address is used for sending mail.

I ask because emails from GoDaddy used to be sent to the 'admin' contact.

Now, I can't find where the 'admin' contact was even set up (you certainly keep us on our toes with the constant web changes, GoDaddy).

So - my questions:

* do the service renewal notices only get sent to the one email address at https://account.godaddy.com/ now?

* or - can we set up an 'admin' address that also receives the renewal notices?

* and - if we can use the 'admin' address - where is it set up?

Thanks!

Yes - the difference between account admin and admin contact on the domain was my confusion.  Plus - there seems to be a change in GoDaddy's policy, as I believe that the admin contact on the domain used to get the emails, also.

Your answer helped.

It would be REALLY useful if GoDaddy just added on more line/link about where the emails will be sent on the https://account.godaddy.com/preferences page.

Thanks!

Super User I

I'm wondering if your confusion may come from the difference between the Account admin, and the Admin contact on the domain?

Emails from GoDaddy should go to the account owner. On the other hand, you may get spam or phishing emails regarding your domain renewal, from someone OTHER than GoDaddy. Plenty of those folks just send to the admin email on the domain (which is publicly available unless you pay for domain privacy).

After you log into your GoDaddy account, you can check the admin email by clicking on Account Settings, and then My Profile.

Domain admin is set by clicking Manage for the domain in question, and then you'll see the contact information.

Yes, if more than one e-mail address could be set to receive renewal notices, it would be most helpful!

I did find where the 'admin' address is set up:

* go to https://account.godaddy.com/

* click on "domain defaults"

* click on 'vew/edit' next to the appropriate profile

But, I don't really know what these email addresses are used for.
