Did you mean:

setting WWW for a subdomain

Hi Guys,

I'm strunggling with an issue while try to make the domain work through www in front as well.

So both combinations would be workable:

1. subdomain.domain.com

2. www.subdomain.domain.com

No problems with 1 but for 2 I tried to setup a CNAME

HOST: WWW

Points TO: subdomain

Unfortunately I'm getting the following error:

An unexpected error occurred. If this issue continues, contact support.

Could you please guys provide me some guidance on that?

Thanks,

S.

Re: setting WWW for a subdomain

Hi @infussion,

There are a couple of different approaches on this.  You might try using an A record and as your host use the www.subdomain as the entry.  Here is an article that I ran across at GoDaddy on the basics:

This article sheds a bit more light on the details.
