Can't send/receive emails from cPanel setup email address

I am having a problem with send/receiving e-mails to my cPanel configured e-mail address. I can send to my gmail account (but it went automatically to spam until I whitelisted my e-mail address) but cannot receive from it - with no mail delivery notice given. I cannot send or receive from my work e-mail address. When sending to my work e-mail address I receive no error but it doesn't show up in the inbox nor spam folders. When sending from my work e-mail address to e-mail addresses at my domain I receive the following mail delivery failed notice:

unrouteable mail domain "domainname.com"

I have emailed setup as Local Mail Exchanger and as far as I am aware the MX record is fine. Any suggestions for how to solve this?

Edit: mxtoolbox.com shows the following errors -

dmarcdomainname.comDNS Record not found
smtpmail.domainname.comFailed To Connect
smtpmail.domainname.comProblem getting IP Address for mail.domainname.com
mxdomainname.comNo DMARC Record found
mxdomainname.comDMARC Quarantine/Reject policy not enabled
dnsdomainname.comSOA Expire Value out of recommended range
spfdomainname.comType PTR is discouraged

I'm guessing the smtp errors are the issue? How would I resolve these?

Is your actual domain "domainname.com" if not - can you post your domain so we can take a look at the DNS settings?

@AbeStew

So you MX record is set to mail.constellations.scot

However, you need a CNAME or A record for mail.constellations.scot

If  it is on the same server as your website you can do a CNAME with mail and @ as the points to

Then you should be good to go
