Custom domain email from Comcast to GoDaddy help.

Hello all,

I am working with a client on a website. We successfully transferred the domain from Comcast to GoDaddy and got the site redesign and running beautifully.

the client decided to also pay for the 365 email service from GoDaddy so she could drop Comcast all together.

Her email is currently blahblah@blah.com (made up of course for this post) this is hosted through Comcast’s 365 service.

she was hoping to keep the “blahblah” email since blah.com is with GoDaddy now.

Is there an easy way to migrate her email account from Comcast office 365 to GoDaddy office 365 or will she have to completely close her email account and reopen under the same address with GoDaddy?

Thank you in advanced.

Short answer is exactly what you thought....

Long answer - You cannot "move" an Office365 account between providers - best thing to do is export the mailbox to a PST file then close the account and reset it up and then you can import the PST file and should be good to go.
