Email delayed being sent to godaddy mail servers



My client is not getting mail of having it delayed for up to a day which makes it hard to run their business. I have been trying to trouble shoot but cannot use tracked deliver in cPanel as it seems you have not configured the exim settings correctly. I have used external systems to set the sending of mail to the general info account and had failed like below. Every once in a while it will not disconnect or time out and a mail will go through straight away with not pattern or reason. 


Please suggest a course of action.


Checked and validated MX records. 

Validated it is local mail exchanger. 

Happens for mail sent from a multitude of other providers to the accounts under our domain in cPanel (gmail, outlook, exchange, etc)


Sample error trying to send a mail: - [Could not connect: Could not receive data: Operation timed out.]



Using: with I had it work once end to end. It shows the MX lookup is working as it tries to talk to the server but gets a disconnect
