Hi @amccombs. Thanks for being part of GoDaddy Community! Based on what you've said, it sounds like people that are emailing you are receiving this error. This is not one I've seen before, but I did find some information online that suggests it's an issue with the email composer the sender is using. Hope that helps.
Thanks, I'll attempt to try to have them change it, not sure how to do that yet.

However, the email bounce back on Sept 28 2018 had error
SMTP error from remote server for TEXT command, host: smtp.secureserver.net (68.178.213.203) reason: 552 5.2.0 Invalid 7bit DATA
the bounced email also attached the original headers and the headers said
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8; format=flowed
Content-Language: en-US
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit
--
There was a successful email on Sept 4 2018 with the same header information:
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Content-Language: en-US
--
Summary: the email had 8bit however the godaddy server error said invalid 7bit.
@amccombs - Hmm. If this is still happening, then I'd suggest connecting with our customer care team with a bounceback from the last 24 hours showing the error. They can probably have our advanced team take a closer look at what's happening.
