Emails bouncing as error 552

Suddenly the past 4-5 days customers emailing us are getting bounce backs from GoDaddy saying 

presmtp.ex4.secureserver.net #<presmtp.ex4.secureserver.net #5.2.0 smtp; 552 5.2.0  This message has been rejected due to content judged to be spam by the internet community IB212

 

These are customers who email us almost daily or are trying to reply to emails we sent them. We use Hosted Exchange with GoDaddy. Why is this suddenly happening across different domains trying to send to us?

Hello @rprentice84, it's impossible to speculate what may be triggering the rejection without reviewing the messages and the bouncebacks.  If you believe that the messages were rejected by our server in error, please contact our live support team by phone to have the content reviewed.  Our team will need both the original message that was rejected and the bounceback that was generated.  You'll have to obtain these from the sender as they contain all the relevant information that our team will need to identify the exact reason for the rejection.  

If it turns out that the messages were improperly flagged as spam, we can make updates to the spam filter to prevent that situation from happening again.  Thank you.

I'm having the same problem -- dozens of emails not getting through (that's just the ones I know about). I have spam filtering turned off in my GoDaddy mail account. It's not specific to any particular sending domain. I'm absolutely not a spammer. I don't send large group mail, nothing. Disturbing that GoDaddy would block mail to this degree based on an algorithm. Please STOP sending bounce messages to my clients telling them I'm a spammer. Very unprofessional.

 

People can't forward the bounces to me because they can't email me.

I agree. I am having the same issue and one Google search turns up articles about how this an old and ongoing problem with GoDaddy.

 

I know my business are not sending me any emails that would constitute spam blocking. 

 

GoDaddy, how can we ensure valuable business contacts don't receive error messages when emailing us??

As previously mentioned it would be difficult to speculate on the cause of this without being able to review a copy of the original message that triggered it. There can be any number of reasons that the message was flagged ranging from specific keywords, signatures, or even another user reporting previous content sent as spam. 

 

If this happens and you feel it is in error, the best course of action is to reach out to our live support so they can have the content reviewed. You can also submit the original message through this form for review.

Why is there a setting to disable spam filtering if it does nothing? 

I am having thesame problem. 


I recently noticed that emails originating from email addresses from nortonclarke.com domain returned as "Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender". Below is the body of the failed mail:

I am sure no spam or virus is possibly from our end. How can this be resolved please?

Hi I set up our e-mail account (all three) in office365, tried to send a test e-mail from outlook, it always bounces back return code 550 sid YxaE1t0A0TN7NG01::5.1.1 Recipient not found <http://x.co/irbounce>

while e-mail from within office365 is delivered!!

We have been at this office365 problem with you for 7 weeks with no resolution. When will you be fixing this?

I'm having the same problem.  It appears it started 9/12/2016.

I'm using webmail. My second email (in response to the reply on my first email) always bounce back. I've just repeated the whole process to check again and its still bouncing. The step where it bounces is explained as under:

 

1. sent an email (consisting of simple text) from yasir.bajwa@fdp.com.pk to fearless.fahad@gmail.com (delivered and received)

2. replied from fearless.fahad@gmail.com to yasir.bajwa@fdp.com.pk (delivered and received)

3. again replied back from yasir.bajwa@fdp.com.pk to fearless.fahad@gmail.com (bounced)

I am sure we do not have virus in our emails and do not understand why it is spam. Can you look into this please and assist asap!

I get the below message after about 70 emails go out of my Group Mail program, I am getting this bounce message on the rest of my messages (about 150 total), BTW, it is NOT spam.

How to fix it 

I am also having this issue: 45 emails with "Subject: Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender" since Dec 15th 2016.

The last 2 weeks my e-mails return as undelivered when send from 3 of 7 e-mail addresses. The message I get is:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

       Subject:     FW: Amendment

      Sent:  1/31/2017 10:23 AM

 The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

       ??????????????? on 1/31/2017 10:23 AM

            552 YbCZcYgxcAOeu :: auth :: Message rejected for spam or virus content

 

I checked with GoDaddy support 3 times now, had the Geek squad clean out the computers, run virus scans and had Microsoft support for Outlook as well as checking all my settings, etc.

 

Is there anybody else who have this problem and can suggest a solution?
