Skype for Business - Disabled version of Regular Skype?

It seems that Skype for Business has several disabilities, including Group Conferencing, that are not present in Standard Skype.  Is there anybody who has found Skype for Business particularly useful given its lower functionality?  And do you use both versions, or is there a good way to live with both?
