Is there a way to download all the files for my hosted website?

I'd prefer to have a way to download all the files at once, but I don't see that option. Is there one? I also thought I could download each folder on root, but when I select one, the download action button is grayed out. I was in File Manager.

Re: Is there a way to download all the files for my hosted website?

Hey!

If you want to download all of your site files, you can use an FTP client like FileZilla to copy the files onto your PC. The other option is to get the paid add-on that will make backups of ALL your files and save them on the server. You can then download these whenever you choose.

If you want to go the FREE route...

https://www.godaddy.com/help/backup-your-website-with-ftp-and-filezilla-20319

If you want to go the paid route...

-Go to your My Products page

--Click on the bar that says Web Hosting

----Click OPTIONS

------Click CUSTOMIZE

---------Select a backup size from the drop down menu and checkout

------------Go back to your cPanel dashboard

----------------You will see an option at the top that I believe will say 'Premium' and then you can choose the Backup wizard from there.

If this helps give me Kudos! Good luck!

Re: Is there a way to download all the files for my hosted website?

Hello,

I installed Filezilla and followed your Solution advice but I'm getting an error message when trying to connect to my website "Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server".

FYI I very recently changed my Godaddy FTP password - do you think that cause this problem?

Thanks,

TBN

Just use cpanel to make a new ftp account and use that info in filezilla.

Normally host is your website name

User is your godaddy login username

Password is for your godaddy account.

Put 21 where it says port and click quick connect and it should work.

The other way is to use file menu - site manager, same setup there except that you can specify what server and local directory you want it to go to automatically on connection.
