10+ Second Long "Time to First Byte" on Website Hosting

The title pretty much sums it up. The wait times for all applications hosted via the "Deluxe Windows Hosting with Plesk" plan seem to exceed 10 seconds. Total load time for our websites range between 11-30 seconds over a range of page loading test sites.
The applications hosted are a single instance of Wordpress (via Domain) and phpbb (via a Sub-Domain). Neither of them are large content wise (the site is fairly new) and all measures to cache pages and optimize databases have been taken. Any assistance in with regard to reducing the TTFB would be appreciated.

Hi @Jithvan. Welcome to GoDaddy Community!

From what I know, there are multiple things that can contribute to issues with TTFB. While a long TTFB can indicate an issue with the server, it could also be due to the way the application/script that is trying to load is built. Another thing that can contribute to load time is whether or not your WordPress install calls to other websites to source its content. Websites like Pingdom and GTmetrix do a good job of showing what content is causing problems (if any) and what other domains might be involved in the loading of your website. Another thing you can test is what the TTFB is for a simple txt or html document. If those load slowly, it almost always points to a server issue.

Getting Started

Hi,

I am using Godaddy VPS with 3gb ram and have serious issues with load time.

We hosted our web application here and it has 2000 users who installed our app on their websites.

Now during EST time zone when there is much traffic on their sites, the wait time of the file hosted on our vps is much higher.

 https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/eMHbLT/https://veroswim.com/

Its showing wait time of 1.52 seconds which is high. Overall file takes more than 2 seconds to load.

When we contact server support, they simply ask us to pay more for support as its not a managed server.

Does it mean that no one responsible for poor vps server from godaddy?
