As the subject suggests, I want to know if it is true that ASP.NET Core applications cannot be hosted on Godaddy servers? If that is true then, why the customers are kept in dark when they want to go for windows hosting plans?
If ASP.NET Core is supported then what/where are the hosting options?

Hello Everyone. Wanted to give you a quick update. .NET core 1.0/1.1/2.0 has been installed on all of our Plesk Shared hosting systems. This feature is not present in the Plesk UI at this time, but it is available for use by default. .NET Core applications can be manually uploaded via FTP or Visual studio.
Hello @AG31
I'm not a GoDaddy employee so I don't have a definitive answer to your question but you might find your answer in one of the following links:

Good luck. 🙂
Posting this in case anyone else comes here from a search.
As of 10/2017, GoDaddy's shared hosting plan does not support .NET Core. You need to use their dedicated server plan (at 10x the cost) where you can install the .NET Core IIS extension yourself.
I found this out the hard way after their rep assured me that they did support it and sold me the plan. I had to go through numerous tech support calls when trying to get a .NET Core website working before an admin finally admitted they didn't support it in their shared host.

For our shared hosting plans we do not offer asp .NET core 1 or 2. Best case is to get a server per the requirements to support asp .NET core 2.0. This requires any VPS or Dedicated environments running Plesk Onyx 17.8 for automated installer support.
