I am trying to connect mongoDb cluster hosted on cloud using Node, but it seems i am not able to get the connection working.
MongoDb perspective - MongoDb allows 2 options either to whitelist incoming IPs or let you open it for all. I tried both method, working on my local system but nothing seems to be working on the hosted goDaddy website.
GoDaddy perspective - It seems Godaddy is not allowing connection, and the port is blocked. MongoDb troubleshoot website says : \Open Ports 27015 to 27017 to Access Atlas Databases
So my questions are :
1) How to check if any particular particular port is blocked?
2) If blocked how to open those port for smooth operation?
Hello @ghulam_sarvar and thank you for being a part of the Community!
I apologize for the delayed response and that you were experiencing this issue. Were you able to get this resolved and do you mind sharing how?
If you were not able to get this resolved, I want to help as best as I can; if you are using shared hosting then there is no access to open or close ports. If you need this type of access then you might want to consider a VPS or Dedicated Server and you should reach out to GoDaddy Hosting Support to utilize this option.
