Horrible Support on EV SSL Verification

Unfortunately we choose godaddy to purchase an EV SSL cert.  Certificate Specialist from Godaddy is playing all the game with us for the past one month, they are in a serious intention of not getting the cert verified. It's a month since the request has been submitted.

1. We got the domain verified using DNS record

2. Send him ATTESTED verification documents multiple times

He/godaddy doesn't even have patience to send a full understanding mail to the customer. The last mail i received from him was "Thank you for providing us with your documents, but unfortunately we cannot accept them as they are currently."

What is after currently?? He has not even mentioned it.

 

Our patience has crossed the limits, can someone from Godaddy escalation help on this or we need a refund on this.

Hello @charles_e, I'm very sorry to hear about your frustrations with the verification process for an Extended Validation SSL Certificate.  The vetting process for receiving one of these certificates is very thorough and exhaustive as outlined here: https://www.godaddy.com/help/what-is-the-difference-between-a-premium-extended-validation-ev-certifi...

 

If the documents you've submitted are not being approved, there will be an indication of what you are missing in the response from our SSL teams.  If you are unsure of why the documents are not being accepted after reviewing the email from the SSL team, please contact the team at the phone numbers listed in the email so they can clarify the situation as it currently stands.  

 

If you determine that you would rather request a refund, you will also need to contact the SSL team at the phone numbers in the email as they would handle those requests as well.  Thank you.

As you mentioned process is exhausting.

1. The last mail I had sent to the support agent is on Oct 17, no reply yet.

2. In every mail support agent says, "We still require the Professional Opinion Letter as well". Well, it was sent five times atleast.

3. Last change he needed was remove some sidebar kind of line from the document. 

4. This was removed and sent

 

Since, the Godaddy policy is "thorough and exhaustive", you cannot make a customer exhaustive for no reason.

 

I have more reasons to the reply. I am not including all those. Just waiting for a day, am cancelling the certs.

 

For anyone out there, keep in mind the points while purchasing any certs other than standard from Godaddy.

@MPC or Godaddy. Please provide a confirmation from Godaddy whether the EV SSL certificate will be verified today.

Today is the last day for initiating refund (30 days). If godaddy cannot approve SSL cert verification, we need a refund.

 

Below, list of communication with Godaddy. As you see - customer contacted 17 times, while godaddy replied 9 times. 

It takes 3 days at-least for godady to reply to a mail.

This forum is not a GoDaddy support queue. The Community Users - volunteers like yourself - will have no ability to provide confirmation or review your EV documents. Please contact the GoDaddy support team at one of the numbers below for more information on the status of your certificate. If you have concerns over acceptable documents, you may email the SSL team at RA@GoDaddy.com.

No one will use this forum, if godaddy support responds promptly. last reply from Godaddy Verification team was on OCt 23. i have following up since then. Today is Oct 28.

Do you require 5 days to reply ?
