Hi
I have bought a standard SSL cert for my guest portal on my NAC device but I am getting the following error/message when importing it
Certificate OU=Domain Control Validated,CN=cppm.<mydomain>.co.za is not yet valid
- I have this domain setup my local DNS server to point to the portal
- my domain is hosted with Godaddy
Godaddy support desk says they are unable to help me
Any ideas?
thanks

Hi,
Can you check the time and timezone on your NAC device? Certificate validity is in UTC timezone so if you have a correct time but not in the correct timezone on your device (e.g. a correct West Coast time, but set with the UTC timezone), the certificate may cause that message till your device moves past the starting date in the certificate.
If it's easier to simply wait, the message will go away after a few hours.
Let me know how you get on, I'm curious.

I've worked around (not only) SSL security for over 20 years in enterprises and startups.
I am now running an HTTPS expiry management service KeyChest.net

Thanks so much all sorted, it was a time issue.
