Text Messages Not Sending or Receiving - No Error

Are use my phone for business. I need my text messaging to work with SmartLine. I have followed all the steps in the Support area to correct the problem and nothing works please assist this is terrible

I am having the same issue — no text. Spoke with customers service for 15 minutes and yet no solution. Was told it may take up to 72 hours for someone to contact me back. Unexceptable..

Please help this is my business and I cannot receive text messages. I can send but do not receive. Otherwise phone and voicemail work well. I’ve spoken to two different reps on phone who said to turn off phone and restart and also to disconnect app and reinstall. Neither have helped.

Yes same here. I was on hold for 20 minutes then spoke with helpful man Paul who was back and forth with tech people for 40 minutes. They said 72 hrs. It’s my business line that I ported out of grasshopper which was too expensive. I’m happy with my Go Daddy experience but I have to receive texts for my business so I’m patiently hoping this will be fixed in 72 hrs.

I am having this same problem. Need to be able to text for work and not give out my private phone.

Hello @DrHank  @barbaraz @Dao  @EPC2019 ,

 

A few reasons why texting may not work:

 

1) Texting is only available to US numbers.  So international texting won't work.

 

2) Make sure you're sending text to a text-enabled number such as a cell phone number.  Landline numbers are not text-enabled.

 

3) If you're having trouble receiving text from other systems for verification purposes, some systems will only send messages to cell phone numbers.  So, it is up to the sender to allow messaging to SmartLine numbers.

 

4) In some rare cases, it may be a setup issue with our provider.  So if you cannot send/receive any texts, please private message me your SmartLine # and I will look into your account.
