    How to create replacement site with new Theme while existing site remains until replacement is ready

    Hello,

     

    I have an existing Wordpress website hosted at Godaddy.  I would like to create a new website, using a new theme, additional pages and new content.  My question is how can I work on creating this 'new' website with its new theme while leaving the existing site untouched and live until it is ready to be replaced.  

     

    The next question is going to be, how do I replace the existing website with the new one?

    Hello @Charysma

     

    I suggest that you create a sub-domain and install WordPress on it.

     

    When the new site is done export it and import it in the old one using a plugin like this one.
