Theme header image shrinks when I remove halo text

I've tried several WordPress themes and have the same problem with each. 

My header image contains the text I want so I delete the Halo text. But when I do so, it severely shrinks the header image vertically so it appears as a wide, thin strip. 

How can I keep the header image the same vertical size without including Halo text? Right now I'm using a period on each line of text, but that doesn't look professional.

@bvb you can make your logo stay in the dimensions you want with custom CSS, which you can insert via customizer in wordpress.
