Transitioning a domain from Website Builder to a hosting plan

I'm a web developer who's building a new Wordpress website for a Go Daddy client. The website is currently using the Website Builder service but I want to discontinue that and create a new site within the Economy hosting plan.

To clarify - I don't want the Wordpress hosting plan - I'm going to install Wordpress myself.

What steps do I need to take to move from Website Builder to the Economy hosting plan? Ideally, I'd like to build the new site, then cancel the Website Builder plan - but how do I move the domain seamlessly, with (hopefully) no downtime?

What I would do is setup the server as new.yourdomain.com build out the site

then you can change the web builder site to the temp GoDaddy domain and rename the server to just the domain name and be good to go

Yes there are - this is assuming you don't take just the base package

1) CDN

2) Free SSL Certificate vs Paid or Manual Let's Encrypt

3) Automatic Backups - doesn't require additional plugin / off site upload

4) Staging site

These are the biggie items

Thank you. Another question - any real advantage to using Go Daddy's Wordpress hosting plan, as opposed to a regular Economy hosting plan? I'm quite experienced with installing Wordpress and customizing themes.
