Unable to change the background colour on the footer - WordPress

Anyone have any suggestions as I am unable to change the background colour on the footer. If I click the colour button the footer disappears. Thanks.

That would depend on the theme you are using.  If you right click on the footer, then choose Inspect or Inspect Element, you'll be able to see the CSS for that area and what the color code is.

You would just copy that snippet, change the color code then paste it into WordPress in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.

If you want to include your site's URL I can take a peak and help further... 😉

Getting Started

may be you are using a transparent color for the footer that's why the footer keeps on disappearing.Try to use a solid color without any transparency. You can also change the color with custom css option.
