WordPress ,what files/directories are migrated?

Hello,  I noticed that when I make a change to wp-config.php on staging site because I need to disable debug mode for production site,  I push from staging to production, wp-config.php remains untouched. What files/directories then are exchanged?

I am assuming you are using Managed WordPress -

While I haven't specifically tested this I would assume wp-content plus anything in the root folder not part of WordPress - I would not expect wp-config to sync as that could mess up connections to the database and WordPress is not changing users / passwords on the database.
