error moving wordpress site to another go daddy hosting package

I have tried moving one of my wordpress sites from godaddy to another hosting package on godaddy

and i keep getting HTTP ERROR 500 when i try to visit the site.

I have copied all the files across and the database but nothing is working, when looking into the wordpress applications in control panel i see this message.

! PHP for the selected domain has failed.

{installatron} is unable to install to a domain where PHP is not working.

Your hosting provider can help you resolve this error.

Error code: 1; HTTP code: 500

any ideas please

Re: error moving wordpress site to another go daddy hosting package

Hey @swhdesigns,

Welcome to the community! Smiley Happy

Generally a 500 error is a generic message that could be caused from a number of different things, most often a configuration issue somewhere within the scripting of a site. In the case of WordPress, potentially missing (or incorrect paths to) files when the site was moved.

However, you also mentioned an error pertaining to Installatron which is the automated installation application used on shared hosting plans. Because that is primarily an internal tool on our end, you'll want to reach out to our live support so our hosting team can help investigate what triggered the error and get this corrected. They should be available via phone or live chat to assist you.

Let us know what they find.
