Cannot connect to VPS server using alias sXXX-XXX-XXX-XXX.secureserver.net provided by GoDaddy

I would like to be able to use the alias (sXX-XX-XX-XX.secureserver.net)  specified by GoDaddy for  DNS settings and remote desktop.

However, this DNS alias does not resolve.  I can only connect to the server using the IP Address.  Unfortunately, I can't use an IPAddress when creating CNAME records, so I can't point sub-domains to the server.   How can I fix this and have a working DNS Alias so that I can configure the DNS on the server?

    Hi @RoseL,

Thanks for posting. You need to use your servers IP address to connect via remote desktop, here's how: https://www.godaddy.com/help/connect-via-remote-desktop-rdc-to-your-windows-server-134. Hope that helps!
