Any updates about allowing us to block appointment time for certain staff/employee? I run a nail salon business and this feature will be super handy for me when I have to mark the day off for my employee. My current workaround is that I have to book fake online appointment, to block out the day that the tech is requesting off, and this task is very tedious! I also tried to uncheck the staff availability for a certain day, let say Monday for example, it then blocks every single Monday for this staff, which is not what I wanted it to be like this way.
Hello @royal27! Thanks for the feedback and posting in the GoDaddy Community!
I can definitely see why this would problematic for you when trying to give your staff a day off. I passed along your feedback to our GoCentral team in hopes that this could be a feature they can add to make your scheduling easier. If I they give me word that this is the plans to update, I will be sure to come back here and post an update!
Thank you for reaching out and taking the time to submit this feedback. This is an excellent suggestion. You are correct. Currently, creating a "fake" appointment would be the only work-around. While you can also block your calendar, it would affect your overall calendar, not to a specific staff. I have noted your feedback and will discuss with the product team.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback. We appreciate it. We worry that if we put all the appointment details on the synced calendar would be too much information to glance through. The synced calendar is hoped to provide brief summary of your schedule. There's a booking link though, that will give you all the appointment details.
A possible workaround is to create a unique service name for each of your staff, i.e. if Jane Doe is the staff performing a manicure, then perhaps, you could name the service as "Manicure (JD)". If you do have a lot of stuff available performing the same service, this workaround may not work as well. That being said, I have noted down your feedback and will discuss it with the team. Thank you again for your feedback!
Thanks @fhouser1! I already have a few services labeled with the staff that is performing that service. However, I also created a service called “any staff” to allow our customers to choose any available staff that has not yet been booked. When I tested this I noticed although they picked any staff they also have an option to choose a specific staff in case they changed their mind. This will then create schedule conflict for us when my receptionist cannot see the staff that will be performing this service on their Google/iCal calendar that I had shared with them.
Also, I wanted to avoid having to share full access to my GoDaddy account. Is there a way I can share access to my GoDaddy account with read-only access, because the GoDaddy calendar actually has everything my receptionist needs @fhouser1?
It will be super handy if you guys can allow us to add another field to show up on our Google calendar, for notes or other purposes, so that we can make our online/phone scheduling more efficient? Thanks!
Thanks again for reaching out. If you create 2 services, where one can be performed by any staff and the other can only be performed by certain staff, say in this case, Jane Doe. Then, while Jane Doe's name is still visible on the service that can be performed by any staff, if a client picks Jane Doe, the availability is updated based on Jane's availability. By default, the availability is shown based of any staff's availability though.
Regarding account delegation, GoDaddy as the company, has Delegate Access feature. You can get more information about it here: https://www.godaddy.com/help/what-is-delegate-access-12378?
However, I don't believe it provides you the read-access (to Online Appointments) that you are looking for. I've noted this feedback down and will discuss it with the team.
We appreciate all the feedback you are giving us.
