Embedding a code box in blog posts

I would like to be able to embed code boxes in my instructional blog posts. In some systems, a <code></code> tagging system allows it to look like the image below:

Embedding code like above allows the text format and color coding of key words to be preserved. Of course, I could embed images like I did above, but then the code could not be selected and copied. Is this possible? If so, how could this be done?

Unfortunately this feature is not available in GoCentral.

In that case, is it possible to alter the font (style, color, etc.) in different sections within the blog?

No, all sections would follow the style, color, and font options selected for the theme.  There is a basic formatting toolbar that appears when text is highlighted in the blog editor, it has Bold, Italic, Links, Lists.  GoCentral is more for beginners who just want to add their content to a basic website with very little effort.  If you need more features and customization you may want to look into WordPress.
