It has come to my attention that the GoCentral sitemap.xml does not contain the shops page URL data, thus only the non-shop website page URL's are getting indexed by Google and Bing. While the shop pages URL's are not listed in the sitemap.xml and do not get indexed. This is a problem for doing online sales that you need your store items and category pages to be indexed by Google and Bing.
GoDaddy, can you fix this? Where all our Go Central pages are listed on the sitemap.xml, even the shop URLs?
Solved! Go to Solution.
This isn't a me problem, its an everyone problem. Considering this is a Go Central post, everyone should know. I would hope GoDaddy would know this, and fix it on their own, it's basic sitemap.xml knowledge. But its not being fixed, so everyone should know about it, thus why I posted it.
Hello @SgtA -
Thanks for the post! We are aware of the situation and working to expand our site map as we speak. This will not only help with products, but also with appointments and individual blog posts for those who use those features. We still have a fair amount of work to do so it'll be a few more weeks, but it's definitely on it's way!

How is this going? I just noticed that my blog pages are not in the site map. Why am I writing a blog if they are not getting indexed by google?
Still don't have shop listings in my sitemap.
My blog is all there in its own separate sitemap file.
https://orowoodworks.com/sitemap.xml links over to:
But no "shop" sitemap.
It's been over three months since this was responded to by GD.
This has been a major limitation and is yet to be resolved from what I understand.
https://ranasuzan.co.uk/sitemap.ols.xml can't be fetched by search engines.
I can't believe how this was overlooked in the first place.
https://ranasuzan.co.uk/sitemap.ols.xml should be fetched easily by search engines but no luck. None of my products are listed on search engines.
@OROWoodworks @ranasuzan It took about 10 days for the search engines to index the sitemap for my published WEBSITE and remove the old GD temporary site. The problem still remains that they are not indexing the "Shop" sitemap (or the Blog as far as I can tell).
OROWoodworks, can you tell me the best way to check this? Has your Shop sitemap ever showed up?
There is still no sitemap for my individual shop listings, as far as I can tell. There is an index for the main shop page in my sitemap, but each individual item listing is not reflected in the sitemap files.
My blog does have its own sitemap which lists all of the individual posts.
When I look at my main sitemap (https://orowoodworks.com/sitemap.xml), it has two links to other more comprehensive sitemaps listed.
My website map: https://orowoodworks.com/sitemap.website.xml
And my blog map: https://orowoodworks.com/sitemap.blog.xml
So, you can check your main sitemap and see if it lists two other sitemap locations. You should be able to tell if your blog is mapped, since it should have the same set up as my sitemap and the two comprehensive maps. It may take more time for the search engines to index the blog just because of the nature of when they choose to crawl what pages of your site. I'm not sure, but perhaps blogs are lower on crawl priority than other pages.
@OROWoodworks Thanks for your reply. I guess what I'm getting at is, where did you go to view your sitemaps? (Please be specific as to the steps.)
Ah, well, you should be able to take the URLs I shared in my previous post and simply plug your web address into them...especially the main sitemap.
So, replace orowoodworks.com with whatever your website is.
That will take you to the sitemap that would then tell crawlers where to go...in my case, it sends them to my other two more specific sitemaps, which may be the same for you.
In case all you store owners haven't realized it, there is no sitemap for our products. If you don't know what that means, it means they are not being "found" by the search engines. The reason is because the products in your Shop are not getting added to the sitemap. Yes, I know. It's unbelievable, but it's true. Without that, we will have NO customers finding what we're selling. If you're not alarmed, you should be.
@OROWoodworks Thank you for the detail. I checked my sitemaps the same way and am coming up with the same 3 sitemaps you are. The blog IS one of them, but no sitemap for the Shop products.
Thanks for sharing your concerns regarding Sitemap.xml missing out Shop pages, leading to SEO issues. Glad to share that we have implemented sitemap.xml to include Shop pages, starting a few weeks back. To make shop pages part of sitemap.xml, you would need to republish your site, since the introduction of this capability. After that, any new product added to the store would make it to the sitemap automatically.
Let us know if you have any issues after you republish the site.

So glad this is finally done!
I just checked my sitemaps, and the new sitemap.ols.xml is there, and it has my products listed.
I published after doing some edits yesterday, so this occurred without my realizing it.
@OROWoodworks So glad to hear it is working for you. I checked mine and the new sitemap ols.xml is there, but no products are listed. Where should I be seeing those? Right under that line?
Up in the URL bar, replace the "sitemap.xml" after your web address with "sitemap.ols.xml" and it should have your products listed. If not, try republishing your site again to populate it.
@OROWoodworks @ProdMgr_OLS Thank you so much for replying about this. And thank you Mohan for getting it up and running. My site was recently published on 10/15 and I've checked several times since then for the products to show in the sitemap. No such luck. (I thought perhaps there was something I didn't know, which was why I was asking.) I went ahead and republished tonight again at your suggestion, however, and now my items are there!!! Hallelujah!!! I'm very grateful, VERY grateful. But it does appear this just got added. Just sayin'...
