Google Search Results has pornographic descriptions of my site. How to remove?

One of my friends pointed out to me that Google search results for my site contain pornographic descriptions.  I do not have that type of content.  Does anyone have pointers to help correct this?  I did some searches but was not finding anything that looked applicable.

    Hi @MPray,

Hmmm, without going into specific details, sometimes an unfortunate choice of domain name will result in this type of result. Something quite innocent can return something from the gutter! Some not so clean minds out there!

There isn't much one can do except maybe change your domain name to something less likely to be associated with pornographic material. Or you could just revel in the notoriety as the saying goes, "all publicity is GOOD publicity"

(I have a good sense of humour, or strange humour).

We might understand better the context of this if you said what your domain name was, and if there were obvious or not so obvious connections that could be seen. Mind you, if your domain name is a TLD (Top Level Domain) and you add a period to the end of it in your search bar, then this will help significantly. So 'misstakenforsomeoneelse.com.'. Do this for any links you provide in emails etc.

.  It is not a huge deal but it is embarrassing when someone you know asks about it.

It looks like your website may have been infected with some malicious software.  That can be a tricky situation to resolve, but here is an article to help you get started.

    https://www.godaddy.com/help/my-website-was-hacked-20203

I will add to make sure any computer(s) you use to access and/or manage the website should have up-to-date anti-virus and malware software with scans run regularly.

Also change the passwords before and after malware removal.

Awesome.  Thanks for the help.  I just got an email from GoDaddy stating that malware was removed.  I am also going to take down the site for now.

    Thanks again for your help!

Is this the only way to remove this? This is happening with my site now and I was just wondering what other options are out there.
