    How to create a great online shopping experience?

    Hi everyone! We're trying something new this month: weekly questions to prompt some conversation, and give folks a chance to share their opinions and expertise on a variety of topics.


    Question of the week: How can businesses create a great online shopping experience? 

    It's retail month at GoDaddy, and we'd love to hear your advice for retailers. As a customer, what creates a great online shopping experience for you? If you're a web developer, what tips do you have for online retailers? And if you happen to run an online store, what's worked well for you in the past?

    The principles are simple. 


    Make it easy, clutter free with good detail on the product. 

    Make sure to have good photographs and descriptions of the products you are selling. People cannot touch the product, so you will need to appeal to their other senses.

    • Have policies, shipping/returns and privacy pages.
    • Quality product photos -- lots of them.
    • Product descriptions that answer all your customer's potential questions.

    • Professional looking order acknowledgements and shipping confirmations.
