We have a site, domain is with GoDaddy looking to transfer management duties with GoDaddy.
they say they need to rebuild our site? we don't want to start over we just want new management?
is this possible?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @Koollaid. Welcome to GoDaddy Community! For the most part, GoDaddy does not offer website management as a service. The only thing we offer that would be close to that would be our website design service, which comes with ongoing site updates as long as the service is renewed. Depending on how your site is currently built, you may or may not need to rebuild it if you want to host with us. Usually, this is only required if your current website host will not let you transfer your content in some way. However, if you can share more information about your situation, including your website, that might help others offer further suggestions.
our client has KeyLewis.com....the domain is hosted with GoDaddy.com with another being our webmaster.
how can we transfer those duties to GoDaddy?
@Koollaid - The domain KeyLewis.com is registered with GoDaddy but is using another provider for website hosting. It looks like it's built with WordPress. The easiest way to move that over would be to use one of our Managed WordPress accounts. Managed WordPress has a built-in migration function that might help you get the site moved over. You'd just need to have access to the WordPress dashboard so you can install the migration plugin. Once the site is migrated, you'd need to update the domain's DNS if the Managed WordPress plan isn't purchased in the same account as the domain.
Thanks for the warm welcome and speeedy response jayDuhB....
