In early February 2017 we reported to Godaddy support that our site, which is on a shared hosting plan, finished up on the CBL blacklist which is compromising our site and in particular our site email functionality.
I was told support would escalate the problem however I was told that the best option was to pay more and move away from a share hosting plan (!) and in the meantime two months later we are still on the black list!
The IP address is: 22.214.171.124 and the malicious redirect is "http://bauerwhitetails.com/rx.html"
My understanding is that since bauerwhitetails.com is not our host, there is nothing we can do to fix this problem!
Would appreciate any pointers on how to resolve this issue!
You sound like Godaddy support and I am sorry to say that which is the result of the frustrations to solve this issue. Manual not very helpful I am afraid because if you have seen the thread you will note that I am not the site owner and the instructions say (I quote):
The infected host name is "bauerwhitetails.com", and this link has an example of the malicious redirect: "http://bauerwhitetails.com/rx.html" Depending on the infection type, there may be dozens more malicious redirection pages under bauerwhitetails.com.
WARNING As the link is known to malicious, browsing that link is at your own risk.
If bauerwhitetails.com is not your host, there is nothing you can do to fix this problem: contact your hoster and have them fix it.
Hello! Any other ideas anyone?!
In the meantime I read in another forum:
Your host did not have preventative measures in place to stop abuse of their services which now results in the entire server being blacklisted. Your only option is to really find a new host that is not blacklisted. Your current host's servers are blacklisted so there is no recovery option.
I cannot believe Godaddy do nothing about this!!! Can someone tag a support admin maybe?
Did your problem get resolved?
I am having the same problem with the shared host server of GoDaddy 126.96.36.199 where https://www.abuseat.org/lookup.cgi complains about a site www.balestier.com.sg hosted in the same shared host. My CRM software is not accepting the email id of my domain quoting the ip is blacklisted!
I talked to Godaddy service but I doubt if they understand or they are not ready to support though they understand. What do people do in this case (I see there are around 80 sites hosted in this ip!)
no problem is still unresolved!
I have just logged a complaint here https://supportcenter.godaddy.com/AbuseReport
but confidence levels that this will get fixed are not high!
