    website builder migration

    Ok,

It looks like support for website builder is waning.

    Is it being discontinued?

If so, how long before I'm forced to move to gocentral?

@rdominguez Website Builder 7 will be around for awhile.  Many users disappointed with the lack of customability in Go Central will keep using Website Builder 7.  You can still request it for building new sites.

    HTH.  :-)

    Thanks for the info.

    Re: website builder migration

I once used Website Complete for my websites and Godaddy dropped support and basically screwed me over. How can I trust that Website Builder doesn't do the same thing?

The only truly safe way is to use Wordpress or write your own custom HTML.

On builders that don't have a migration path, the level of effort can usually be minimized by screen scraping and cut/paste...   :-)

    Re: website builder migration

    Agreed,

My client prefers the builder solution.

We tried wordpress previously and it wasn't to their liking.

I'll pursue a bitnami stack as a preview for them.

Hopefully the 2nd time around it will be more palatable.
